The Shades of Amaryllis is a beautiful and delicate story about a ballet student, Phoebe, who is on the verge of their career and identity crisis. Phoebe’s complex family dynamics, full of misunderstanding, pressure and emotional blackmail, prevent her from pursuing her dreams, as well as making lose everything she truly cared about. This film tackles the theme of parent-children relationships, and specifically how the emotional world that parent lives in affects the child, essentially providing a perspective to this child from birth. It is a film about a struggle for emotional and artistic independence as well as for identity.
